Brooklyn Nets vs. Washington Wizards Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-4-2022

The Brooklyn Nets have gotten off to a horrible start this season and they face another tough test on Friday as they travel to Washington to face the Wizards. The Nets are 2-6 on the season while the Wizards come in with a record of 4-4. These two teams split four games last season. Can the Nets get back on track?

The Brooklyn Nets have made more headlines off the court than they have on the court. You have Kyrie Irving, who seems to be creating controversy every other day with his statements and tweets, then you have Ben Simmons, who is injured again and not playing basketball. Then you have Steve Nash, who was fired this week for the team's horrible start and his inability to get his stars to play together and raise the level of the supporting cast. Finally, you have rumors that they might hire Ime Udoka, who was suspended by the Celtics for conduct violations.

Oh yeah, and they just signed Josh Primo, who was waived by the Spurs for his own conduct violations. So things are a mess in Brooklyn and it shows in their 2-6 record, which is one of the worst records in the NBA. The Nets have not been able to finish games, which comes down to their lack of leadership and cohesiveness. That was the case in their most recent game, a 108-99 loss to Chicago. The game was close and they were ahead for much of the game, but then the Bulls steamrolled them in the fourth quarter 31-19 and won 108-99. Irving had one of his worst games in years with just 4 points in 32 minutes. Kevin Durant led the way with 32 points and 9 rebounds while Royce O'Neale added 20 points.
