The Nets got within four after three quarters and were down 13 with 6:57 to play before rallying. Brooklyn outscored Golden State 27-10 the rest of the way to earn the win. The Nets shot 54.4% from the field, including 14 of 27 from three-point range, and overcame 15 turnovers in the game. Kyrie Irving led Brooklyn with 38 points, seven rebounds and nine assists in the win.

Durant suffered a MCL sprain in the game against the Heat on January 8 and has been out. The team announced on January 24 that he was progressing well but would be reevaluated in two weeks.
