The Brooklyn Nets will certainly wish for better health as they prepare to ring in the New Year following Sunday's game with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Nets have looked weary in recent weeks and come into this matchup with a record of 3-7 in their last ten games. On Friday night, the Nets fell to the lowly Washington Wizards in Washington, 110-104. Spence Dinwiddie led the Nets with 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists while Mikal Bridges added 19 points. The Nets even got strong play from their bench with Cam Thomas dropping 15 points and Day'Ron Sharpe contributing 10 points and nine rebounds. In the end, however, the Nets ran out of steam and watched the game slip away in the fourth quarter.

“There were so many stretches through the course of the game where I don’t think we took advantage of opportunities that we had, whether that was finishing quarters the correct way, whether that w as just throwing simple passes instead of elaborate passes and complicating things,” Nets coach Jacque Vaughn said. “And so when you don’t take advantage of each possession, you put yourself in a position where it’s a little bit more pressure and stress on you in the fourth quarter.”

Brooklyn comes into this game ranked 12th in the NBA in scoring. They are just 21st in field goal percentage but the Nets are seventh in 3-point shooting. The Nets are also 8th in the NBA in 3-point field goals per game. Defensively, the Nets are ranked 20th in scoring defense this season. They are 14th in field goal defense and 22nd in 3-point defense. The Nets are a solid fourth in total rebounding per game this season and sixth in turnovers per game.

Key Injuries: G Lonnie Walker IV and G Ben Simmons are both out.
