It’s an interconference battle on the parquet floor out in the city by the bay. The Brooklyn Nets are on the road as they make the trip to take on the Golden State Warriors Saturday night. Brooklyn was in action in the Mile-High City as they took on the Nuggets Thursday in the second game of a back-to-back situation, losing 124-101 and failing to cover the line as a nine-point underdog. Golden State was on the road as they took on the Clippers Thursday night in their previous contest, losing 121-113 and failing to cover the line as a 2.5-point underdog. In the all-time regular season series between the teams, the Warriors own a 56-41 advantage but the Nets took both meetings last season, including a 120-116 road victory in the most recent matchup on January 22, 2023.

Brooklyn found themselves on the wrong end of a beatdown as they were unable to follow up their win over the Suns as they were thrashed by the Nuggets Thursday night. They were eighth in the Eastern Conference, half a game behind the Knicks for the final guaranteed playoff spot in the East entering Friday and 3.5 games clear of the 11th-place Hawks. Against Denver, Brooklyn trailed by seven after the opening quarter and by 13 at the half: they never got closer than 10 in the second half as they went down quietly in defeat. The Nets shot 41.1% from the floor, including eight of 30 from three-point range, and turned the ball over 16 times in the loss. Spencer Dinwiddie led the Nets with 17 points and eight assists in the loss.
