The Brooklyn Nets and Detroit Pistons will take the floor at Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday for another bout on the hardwood. Tip-off in Detroit is at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Brooklyn (43-35 SU and 39-37-2 ATS) plays Minnesota on Tuesday. The Nets, 4-1 straight-up in their last five games, are sixth in the Eastern Conference standings.
Detroit (16-62 SU and 32-42-4 ATS) hosts Miami on Tuesday. The Pistons, losers of nine consecutive games, are last in the Eastern Conference. Several Detroit players will not suit up, including Bojan Bogdanovic (21.6 PPG), Alec Burks (12.8 PPG), Marvin Bagley III (12.0 PPG and 6.4 RPG), and Isaiah Stewart (11.3 PPG and 8.1 RPG).
The Nets and Pistons split their two previous meetings this season. Brooklyn won the f irst game 124-121 in Detroit, shooting 55.0 percent from the field and 51.7 percent from three. Detroit won the second matchup 130-122 in New York on January 26. The Pistons shot over 50 percent and outrebounded the Nets 48-40, grabbing 15 offensive boards.
Brooklyn moved one step closer to the playoffs with its win over Utah. After winning three consecutive, it will host Minnesota Tuesday in a pivotal game for both teams. Will the Nets ride their momentum into the playoffs and shock the basketball world with a first-round win?
Brooklyn led by as many as 23 points versus Utah, but needed to hold on for a close win after the Jazz stormed back with 42 fourth-quarter points. The Nets were outrebounded (-12 rebounding margin), shot under 30 percent from three-point range (9-for-32), and were outscored 60-42 in the paint. It wasn't the most impressive performance, but Brooklyn got the win it needed.

Small forward Mikal Bridges leads Brooklyn in scoring. He's averaging 20.2 points on 47.5 percent shooting this season, including 39.9 percent from deep. A few other Nets to watch are point guard Spencer Dinwiddie (17.5 PPG and 6.3 APG), small forward Cameron Johnson (15.5 PPG and 4.4 RPG), Claxton (12.6 PPG, 9.2 RPG, and 2.5 BPG), and shooting guard Cam Thomas (10.1 PPG).
