Braves vs. Marlins odds, picks: Advanced computer MLB model releases selections for Saturday matchup

The Miami Marlins and the Atlanta Braves begin a doubleheader with an afternoon matchup at 1:10 p.m. ET on Saturday. Atlanta is listed as a -125 favorite (risk $125 to win $100) at Caesars Sportsbook, while the Over-Under is set at 7 (see up-to-date'odds for every game this week on our MLB odds page). Before making any Braves vs. Marlins picks, you NEED to check out the MLB predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every MLB game 10,000 times, and it is 299-254 on top-rated MLB m oney-line picks since the start of the 2021 season, returning over $800 for $100 players. This is the same model that pegged the 2021 Atlanta Braves at 10-1 as one of three best bets to win it all last season. Anybody who has followed it has seen profitable returns.

The model knows the Braves are highly potent on offense. Atlanta leads the National League in home runs and total bases, showcasing tremendous power. The Braves are also in the top three of the league in slugging percentage, OPS, doubles, and runs scored, and the lineup has real depth. Eight players have double-digit home runs for the Braves, and seven regulars enter the weekend with an OPS over .740 this season.

The model also knows the Marlins have home-field advantage and a solid matchup. Miami leads the NL in stolen bases, and team speed is a strength. In addition, Miami is facing a struggling starter in Atlanta's Ian Anderson. He has a 5.11 ERA overall and a 5.40 ERA against Miami this season. Ander son also has a 1.54 WHIP and right-handed hitters are posting an .884 OPS against him in 2022.
