NFL Round Table Show

Bowling Green and Ohio will wrap up their respective regular seasons when they square off on Tuesday night. The Falcons have won four of their last five games, earning bowl eligibility with their 42-35 win at Toledo last week. Ohio has been on fire of late, winning six straight games.

Bowling Green got off to a slow start this season with a rough stretch against quality opponents, losing three of its first four games. The Falcons have bounced back with a solid conference season though, winning five of their seven MAC games. Their lone losses came in blowout fashion at home against Buffalo and Kent State, but they have won four of their last five games heading into this matchup. They kept their slim MAC East title hopes alive with a 42-35 win at Toledo last week. Bowling Green needs a win and a Buffalo loss to Kent State in order to win the division.

Quarterback Matt McDonald threw for a career-high 392 yards and four touchdowns, including the game-winner to Ta’ron Keith with nine seconds left in the game. McDonald orchestrated a 72-yard drive in just six plays, taking just 38 seconds off the clock. The Falcons are now bowl eligible for the first time since 2015. Wide receiver Odieu Hiliare hauled in a career-high 243 yards on seven receptions, which ranks third in program history for the single-game record. McDonald has completed 61.8% of his passes for 2,422 yards, 21 touchdowns and five interceptions this season. Sophomore running back Jaison Patterson has rushed for 543 yards and a score, averaging 4.5 yards per touch.
