Boston Red Sox vs Cleveland Guardians Analysis
After splitting the first two games of a four game series, the Boston Red and Cleveland Guardians meet for game three from Progressive Field on Wednes day night. The Guardians prevailed last night in an 8-3 drubbing of the Red Sox.
Both teams are hovering at or around .500 with the Sox at 49-49 and the Guardians at 49-47. Veteran righty Nathan Eovaldi gets the nod for Boston, while the 27 year-old Cal Quantrill toes the rubber for Cleveland. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PM EST/4:10 PST.
The Boston Red Sox limp into the contest after losing 8-3 last night and dropping their record to .500. Rookie starter Josh Winckowski got touched up for five runs on six hits in only three innings on the mound.
