Schools near the bottom of the ACC standings will cross paths again when the Boston College Eagles (11-13, 10–14-0 ATS, 5-8 ACC) play the Virginia Tech Hokies (14-9, 9-14-0 ATS, 4-8 ACC) in Blacksburg, Virginia. Boston College took down the Hokies 70-65 in OT in December. That game dropped Virginia Tech from #21 to out of the top-25 rankings, and they haven't been ranked since. The last four meetings between these schools have been decided by five or fewer points, with Boston College winning each one. This game is at Cassell Coliseum, and tipoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. EST.
Boston College has lost two of their last three, averaging only 62.3 points in those three contests. Their offense all season has struggled, only putting up 65.8 points per game, 14th in the ACC and 324th in the country. They play at a slower pace, but they're also inefficient, as evidenced by their 43.1% shooting as a team which is 13th in the conference.
