After holding the top spot in the Eastern Conference for much of the season, the Boston Celtics now find themselves in third place with just 10 games left in the season. Boston has struggled as of late without its defensive anchor Robert Williams III, out with a hamstring injury. The Celtics have gone just 5-5 in their last ten games while the two teams in front of them, Milwaukee and Philadelphia, are playing their best basketball of the season. On Saturday night, Boston fell to Utah 118-117 while missing Williams along with Al Horford and Marcus Smart. Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 25 points in the loss. Grant Williams took advantage of a rare start and finished with 23 points in the game, including seven from long range. Williams' driving layup attempt at the buzzer was blocked away, however.

“Our physicality waned,” Williams said. “They started playing more aggressive and … we s tarted playing a little more passively.”

Boston has ten games to make up a one-game difference with Philadelphia and regaining home-court advantage in a potential second-round playoff matchup. Boston is fourth in the NBA in scoring this season but just 15th in field goal percentage. The Celtics are seventh in 3pt field goal percentage. On the defensive end, Boston is eighth in points allowed and ninth in opposing team's field goal percentage. Boston is now ninth in the league in total rebounding. The Celtics are sixth in the league in committing turnovers but just 26th in forced turnovers.

Key Injuries: Smart and Horford are listed as day-to-day and Williams may make his return to action on Tuesday night.
