The Boston Celtics have hit another rough patch in an otherwise brilliant season with four losses in the team's last six games. The Celtics have started to how the wear and tear of not having starting point guard and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart. Overall this season, the Celtics are 7-5 without Smart but are just 4-4 since Smart has sat with his latest ankle injury. On Friday night at home, the Celtics fell to a depleted Suns team 106-94. Boston's top two players, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, both struggled from the field despite scoring a combined 47 points. The duo shot just 12-of-36 from the floor overall and 6-of-22 from 3pt range on the night. The Celtics were out-rebounded 53-43 and lost the turnover battle 15-8.

The Celtics come into this matchup with the third-best scoring offense in the NBA. They are just 16th in field goal percentage but a solid eighth in 3pt field goal percentage. The Celtics are 13th in the NBA in rebounding, a number improving with the return of big man Robert Williams III. They are sixth in fewest turnovers per game. The Celtics are eighth in scoring defense and seventh in defensive field goal percentage. The Celtics are ninth in 3pt defense.

Key Injuries: Smart remains out with an ankle injury. C Luke Kornet is questionable with an ankle injury.
