The Boston Bruins remain the class of the NHL thus far as they head to Tampa Bay with a 16-2 record, best in the league. On Saturday night, the Bruins tied the NHL record for most consecutive wins at home to start a season with 11 after dominating the Chicago Blackhawks 6-1. David Pastrnak continued what appears to be an MVP-start in a contract year with two goals and Patrice Bergeron, Jake DeBrusk, Taylor Hall and David Krejci all scored as well. Recently returned Charlie McAvoy had four assists as the Bruins won for the sixth straight time overall to improve to 16-2 on the season.

“It's unfathomable that we were going to have this start,” Boston's first-year coach Jim Montgomery said. “So we're enjoying the ride right now, but we know our schedule is getting really hard. It's nice to be part of the record books.”

The Bruins continue their march towards excellence with a dominant start to the 2022-23 season. They are tops in goals for and tops in goals against thus far. On Saturday, the Bruins welcomed back Jeremy Swayman, who had sat out a week with a knee injury, and he stopped 17 shots in picking up the victory. The Bruins have dominated the Western Conference thus far with a perfect 8-0 record. They will now test themselves against two of the best teams in the east this week as they travel to the Sunshine State for battles with Tampa Bay and then Florida.
