The Boston Bruins Magical Mystery Tour continues as they hit the road again and travel to Ottawa to take on the Senators. The Bruins continue to pace the NHL with 56 points, six points ahead of the team's nearest competitors. In fact, Boston took down one of its' nearest competitors, the New Jersey Devils, on Friday night in New Jersey in the team's final game before the holiday break. David Pastrnak scored twice while Patrice Bergeron and Jake DeBrusk netted a goal apiece on the way to a 4-3 Bruins win. Linus Ullmark turned away 36-of-39 shots on his way to his league-leading 19th win. The Bruins also improved to 9-4 on the road with the win.

“We got to how we want to play pretty quick,” Bruins first-year coach Jim Montgomery said. “After 10 games, I think we were there, and I think the confidence has just grown and I think we’re just deep and we can come at people wave after w ave.”

The Bruins should be fresh and ready to go as they continue a brief road trip that consists of two games in New Jersey sandwiched between this game in Ottawa. Boston has played 20 games at home thus far and only 13 on the road so they will need to practice their suitcase packing more in the coming month. The Bruins have been solid away from home but nearly unbeatable at home with a 19-0-1 record. Boston continues to shine in the special teams department, third in both power play percentage and penalty kills.
