Charlie McAvoy and Derek Forbort have combined for 2.2 defensive point shares and 42 blocked shots while Brandon Carlo, Hampus Lindholm, and Kevin Shattenkirk have combined for 2.4 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. Additionally, goaltender Linus Ullmark has bee n great with a .926 save percentage and a 2.26 goals-against average on 217 shots with 5.1 goals saved above average.
