Boston Bruins (30-4-4) vs. Anaheim Ducks (12-24-4)

The 2022-23 NHL season goes on with an eight-game Sunday card and brings this interconference clash from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California when the Boston Bruins take on the Anaheim Ducks at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Boston enters as the prohibitive favorite on the Moneyline (-240) but the spread and total were not set at the time this analysis was written. These teams met in October, a 2-1 shootout victory for the Bruins in Boston. Anaheim has won three of the last four meetings at home between these clubs.

The Boston Bruins could be looking to extend their consecutive point streak to 14 straight games. The club played San Jose on Saturday night, but that contest is not included in this analysis. Boston is 9-0-3 over their previous 12 games entering Saturday night’s competition. They are also 4-0-1 over their last five road games. The Bruins have not suffered a regulation loss since December 9 in Arizona.

“We just want to keep things rolling,” goaltender Jeremy Swayman said. “We know how good we are, and games like this, where you have a little adversity with travel or whatever, you want to get on top and get those two points. So, it's a feel-good win, but at the same time we're still not satisfied.”

With the Bruins playing on Saturday, it will likely be Swayman between the pipes on Sunday, and he has been spectacular. The goaltender is 8-3-3 with a 2.63 GAA and a .900 save percentage. Swayman has allowed two goals in four of his last five games. David Pastrnak had two goals in the victory over Los Angeles on Thursday and leads the club with 27.

Boston is the deepest team in the NHL and arguably the most talented. Statistically, they are dominating, first in goals-against average (2.16) and second in goals per game (3.76). The special teams have also been spectacular, first in penalty killing (85.2%) and fourth on the power play (27.5%).
