Boston Bruins at Anaheim Ducks – 1/8/23 NHL Picks and Prediction

The Boston Bruins and Anaheim Ducks face off on Sunday in an NHL showdown at the Honda Center. When these two teams faced off in October it was the Bruins that secured the 2-1 victory. 

The Bruins come into this game with a 30-4-4 record overall and they have gone 11-4-1 away from home. On Thursday against the Los Angeles Kings the Bruins scored five goals and were able to secure the three goal victory. Over the last two games the Bruins have only given up three goals. The Bruins offense is ranked second in the league while the offense is ranked 1st. David Pastrnak has been the top player for the Bruins scoring 27 goals and adding 35 assists. Brad Marchand has scored 11 goals and added 22 assists. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Anaheim Ducks who sits with a 12-24-4 record overall and they have gone 8-10-1 at home. On Friday against the San Jose Sharks it took overtime, but they were able to secure the 5-4 victory. Mason McTavish had two goals and also added two assists. The Ducks are averaging 2.3 goals while their defense is giving up 4.0 goals per game. The offense is ranked 31st, and they need to find a way to get the offense going. If the offense struggles, it’s going to be a very long game for this team. Troy Terry has scored 12 goals and added 21 assists.
