Machado entered Friday on an 11-game hitting streak, tied for the second-longest active streak in the majors. However, while Machado had four multi-hit games in that stretch, just two of his 15 hits went for extra bases, and he slugged just .478 despite batting .326 over that time frame.
Machado has had great career success against Berrios, going 5-for-12 with a home run and a 1.128 OPS with just one strikeout, but Berrios is pitching so we ll at the moment that we feel he will get the better of Machado.
