Bills vs. Rams lines, picks: Proven NFL model reveals selections for 2022 NFL Kickoff Game

The Los Angeles Rams begin defense of the second Super Bowl championship in franchise history when they host the Buffalo Bills in the 2022 NFL Kickoff Game on Thursday, Sept. 8. Kickoff from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Cal. is set for 8:20 p.m. ET. Buffalo is a 2.5-point favorite and the over/under for total points scored is 52 in the latest Bills vs. Rams odds from Caesars Sportsbook.

Los Angeles posted a 12-5 record last season to win the NFC West for the third time in five years and knocked off Arizona, defending champion Tampa Bay and San Francisco in the playoffs before defeating Cincinnati 23-20 in Super Bowl LVI. It was the second Super Bowl championship for the franchise, which also won Super Bowl XXXIV while located in St. Louis. Matthew Stafford was third in the NFL with 4,886 passing yards and second with 41 touchdown tosses in his first season with Los Angeles after spending his first 12 in the league with Detroit.

Buffalo will be looking to start the season strong after suffering a heartbreaking loss in one of the wildest games in NFL postseason history. The Bills, who won their second straight AFC East title with an 11-6 record, defeated New England in the wild-card round before losing 42-36 in overtime at Kansas City in a divisional-round contest that saw four leads disappear in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter. Josh Allen established himself as one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL as he threw for over 4,400 yards (4,407) and 35 TDs (36) for the second straight year.
