Week 6 of the 2022 NFL season offers several huge matchups, but none are as big as the upcoming clash between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs. The class of the AFC, both squads enter this contest with matching 4-1 records, meaning this could end up being the regular-season game of the year.

What should NFL fans expect in this matchup, and where can bettors find value?

Bills vs Chiefs Prediction and Best Bet

Anyone hoping to see a low-scoring, defense-first game here better look away. This matchup isn't for the faint of heart as the Bills and Chiefs own the best offenses in the entire NFL, averaging 30.4 and 31.8 points per game, respectively.

While the Chiefs have the advantage of being the home team, their defense hasn't been that great this season. They've given up the seventh-most points since Week 3, which includes surrendering 60 points in the last two games alone. Considering how the Bills have already dropped 31-plus points on three occasions this season, it's tough imagining Kansas City's defenders bouncing back.

The Chiefs offense also has to deal with the best defense in the league this week. The Bills have amassed the sixth-most sacks this season and will apply a ton of pressure to Patrick Mahomes, who's been sacked six times over the last two weeks – seventh-most in that span.

The two foes needed overtime to solve their last meeting in the 2021-22 NFL playoffs and I expect this game to be another close one. Having said that, the Bills defense is good enough that I trust it to come up with key plays, whereas I don't have that same faith in the Chiefs' defenders.

I'll take the Bills covering the 2.5-point spread, as well as over 53.5 points on the projected total.
