With Luis Castillo, Robbie Ray, Logan Gilbert and George Kirby all under contract, young superstar Julio Rodriguez continuing to progress and a lot of productive, veteran talent all over Seattle's 2022 roster under team control, this franchise is on the climb. Seattle won 90 games in 2022, gaining their first postseason appearance since 2001, beat the Blue Jays 2-0 in the ALWC and then got swept by the eventual World Series champion Astros in the ALDS. Mitch Haniger and Adam Frazier are two names that could end up elsewhere due to their free-agent statuses, but there are a number of potential free agents that could fit into the Mariners' plans, including shortstop Carlos Correa, who I think would be a smart fit. Japanese star pitcher Kodai Senga is also set to negotiate with MLB clubs and based on Ichiro's influence in Seattle, he could also be a logical fit if the price is right. Overall, this team got a taste of winning in 2022, will retain most of their production from last year and has room to build on their success heading into the new season. At 20/1, they're a solid value option.
