Best Same-Game Parlay for Heat vs Celtics NBA Finals Game 2 (Jokic & Murray Make an Impact on Defense)

The 2022-23 NBA Playoffs continue on Sunday night with Game 2 of the NBA Finals between the'Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets'at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. There are a ton of ways to get in on the betting action, including making your own same-game parlay on FanDuel Sportsbook.

A same-game parlay is exactly what it sounds like. It involves stringing bets from one game together to create a parlay. Of course, all legs must cash for the parlay to be deemed a winning ticket. With that in mind, here's a look at my best same-game parlay for the Heat-Nuggets matchup.

Nikola Jokic's wide variety of offensive skills have been on full display during the Nuggets' playoff run, but don't forget that he can defend the rim as well. The Denver star has recorded at least 1 block in nine of his last 12 games, including when he nabbed one against the Heat in Game 1 on Thursday. Keep in mind Jokic has now racked up nine blocks in his last nine games against Miami, dating back to November of 2019. This is a leg that could end up cashing as early as the first quarter.

It's hard to ignore the way Jimmy Butler has been getting his teammates involved during the Heat's run of playoff upsets. He is averaging 5.8 assists per game during the postseason and has logged at least 6 assists in eight of his last 11 games overall. The expectation is that Butler is going to drive to the rim more on Sunday as a loss in Game 2 would be devastating for the Heat. However, Butler has posted at least 6 assists in four of the last five games in which he has scored 24 or more points. An uptick in shot attempts has not deterred him from dishing the ball out.

This is the leg that causes the SGP to jump in odds, but it's a leg that is worth a shot considering Murray has tallied at least 2 steals in five of his last six games overall. That lone miss came in Game 1 on Thursday as the Nuggets played with a substantial lead for most of the night. Murray simply did not have to go all-out on the defensive end. The Kentucky product has totaled 9 steals in nine career games against Miami and knows what an excellent showing on the defensive end of the floor would mean on Monday night. Look for him to up the intensity.
