Best NHL player prop bets for Thursday, 3/30

If you weren't quite feeling the few NHL matchups last night, not to worry. We have a great slate of Thursday action with some of the league's most talented skaters on the ice. It can sometimes be difficult to analyze winners of some matchups based on the motivation factor for different teams. However, there's always the option of the player prop market. That's especially true when certain skaters are out to achieve season and career-long milestones. We've seen some of those this week already, let's check out our favorite 2 NHL player props for tonight's action.

Along with our player props, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today's action.

Patrice Bergeron over 0.5 points (-165)

There are a few interesting matchups out west, but they aren’t as appealing as a few of the other matchups. So, we're not wasting any time getting started, as our top 2 plays are in 2 of the first games of the night. Finding value with the Boston Bruins on home ice can be tough, especially when they're playing the NHL's worst team – the Columbus Blue Jackets. However, we can still find value when it comes to the player prop market. David Pastrnak has come through for us with his 1.5 points prop several times this season, as has Brad Marchand and his assist prop. Tonight, we're going to give the love to the savvy veteran Patrice Bergeron.'

The team wants to send him off into the sunset with a Stanley Cup should he decide to hang up the skates sooner rather than later. Don't take that to mean he's slowing down, though. The 19-year vet still has 57 points on the season and has the great talent of Pastrnak and Marchand to link up with. Of course, it certainly doesn't hurt that the Bruins are hosting the Jackets, Columbus has allowed the 2nd-most goals per game this season, so we're expecting a big night from Boston. Don't be concerned with Bergeron or Marchand resting like they did for 1 game over the weekend on a back-to-back either. Boston needs this game if they want to break the NHL record for wins with 63, and we expect Bergeron to be an important part of that quest tonight.
