Best NHL player prop bets for Sunday, 2/19

With the NFL season being over, you may be wondering how to profit without betting on passing yards or first touchdown scorers. However, the NHL player prop market can be extremely profitable. That's what we've been targeting all season, and we're here to continue that as the postseason draws nearer. With a solid 6-six game slate this Sunday, we've found 2 great spots for you to take advantage of.'

Along with our player props, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today's action.

Cale Makar over 0.5 assists (-115)

We targeted a Colorado Avalanche skater yesterday, Mikko Rantanen, and he came through by scoring the first goal of the entire day. The Avs as a whole went on to look great in their 4-1 win over the St. Louis Blues. They had multiple skaters record multiple points, including Rantanen and Nathan MacKinnon. However, one star player that was left out of the box score was Cale Makar. It was his first game back missing a handful due to injury, and he still got over 21 minutes of ice time. Therefore, we're not concerned on that front, and being held pointless for the reigning Norris Trophy winner is quite the rarity.'

He's one of the top contenders for the league's best defenseman once again, and his 45 points through 46 games help support that. Of those 45 points, 32 have been assists. That shouldn't come as a surprise, as MacKinnon is a shot machine. The 2 should link up just like they have against the Edmonton Oilers in the recent past. Makar has had an assist in each of the last 2 meetings against them and dominated them in the playoffs last year. He had a whopping 7 assists across the 4-game sweep of the Oilers. That includes a 4-assist game in Edmonton, so we'll gladly take the better price with Makar on the road.
