Best NHL player prop bets for Friday, 1/27

After yet another 2-0 night, we’re on a great 15-3 run with our player props. The NHL has provided us with a strong 8-game slate to get the weekend started. There's even a featured matchup on ESPN to begin the night. To add to the great matchups, there's a potential Stanley Cup Final preview in Dallas with the Stars hosting the New Jersey Devils, which of course everyone predicted coming into the season. However, that looks to be a hard-fought battle, so we've found value elsewhere in terms of skaters showing out.'

Along with our player props, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today's action.

Auston Matthews over 0.5 goals (+100)

The Toronto Maple Leafs were just able to pull off a nice win over the New York Rangers on Wednesday night, and now get to welcome in the Ottawa Senators. After facing an elite goaltender in Igor Shesterkin of New York, tonight should be a welcomed change. The Sens have allowed the 10th-most goals per game on the road while the Leafs have scored the 7th-most at home and have a 19-3-4 record in Toronto. That is certainly in large part due to last year's goal-scoring leader in Auston Matthews.'

He was the first American-born skater to achieve a 60-goal season. Although he got off to a slower start this year, he's starting to find his groove. Matthews has scored a goal in 5 of his last 7 games, including 2 against a strong goaltending team in the Winnipeg Jets. It also doesn't hurt that Matthews continues to take his chances; his 200 shots are the 7th-most in the NHL. He's also enjoyed his games against the Sens. In 27 games against Ottawa, he has 23 goals and 41 points overall. You could also play his multi-point prop, but we'll back one of those being him finding the back of the net.'''

Elias Lindholm over 0.5 assists (+115)
