Best NHL player prop bet for Wednesday, 2/22

After a huge Tuesday night of action, we have our 1 chill night of the week with just 3 games. However, we've still found a great spot to target in terms of the player prop market. It should help us have a nice boost to the bankroll before we're back with a giant 10-game slate tomorrow and then a big weekend ahead. We'll have to wait until one of the later games, but let's dive into our play to get it in ahead of time.'

Along with our player props, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today's action.

Joe Pavelski over 0.5 assists (+100)

One of the late games of the night isn't quite a Western Conference Finals preview, but we've found a way to make it profitable. The Dallas Stars are hosting the Chicago Blackhawks in a battle of the best and worst in the Central Division. The Stars are in need of a big night after being embarrassed by a bad Columbus Blue Jackets team in their most recent game. We're expecting a big night for Jason Robertson and his multi-point prop, but we're going to keep it a bit safer with Pavelski's assist prop.'

The seasoned veteran is on the top line with Robertson and has 50 points through 57 games. Of those 50 points, 36 have been assists. Pavelski is shooting at a much lower rate this season, as he's 6th on the team in shots. He prefers to link up with Robertson to find the back of the net, which he's done 34 times this season. Pavelski and the Stars overall haven't had the best February; however, he's had an assist in 3 of his last 4 games against Chicago and 4 overall. This is a prime spot for his experience to lead the Stars back to the win column.
