Best NHL player prop bet for Sunday, 3/26

After huge 15-game slates like yesterday, the NHL usually leaves us hanging the following day. However, we still have 5 games on the board. That means 10 teams and therefore, plenty of skaters. Trusting teams on the 2nd leg of a back-to-back can be tricky, so you may prefer focusing on the player prop market. That's what we've done here, and we have our favorite spot to target for today’s smaller slate of action.

Along with our player props, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today's action.

William Nylander over 0.5 assists (+110)

As mentioned, nearly every time is on a back-to-back today, which includes the Nashville Predators. They had starting netminder Juuse Saros in net against the Seattle Kraken yesterday, which means their goaltending takes a significant downgrade today. That's rough news when facing the superstar roster of the Toronto Maple Leafs, which includes Nylander. Even with Saros in net, the Preds still allowed 7 goals yesterday. Their playoff hopes are all but lost, and Toronto should welcome the weaker team; they had to face the great Carolina Hurricanes yesterday.'

Auston Matthews notched 2 goals off a ridiculous 15 shots, but we're focused on a big night for Nylander. There's always the risk of him notching a goal instead, but we wouldn't be surprised to see both. He had 2 assists when these teams last met and has had at least 1 assist in each of his last 4 games against Nashville. Nylander is also on the same line with captain John Tavares, who had 9 shots last night. Strangely enough, Nylander hasn't had more than 3 shots on goal in any of his last 6 games. His 45 assists are also the 2nd-most on the team, so we'll ride with his trend against the Preds.
