Best NHL player prop bet for Saturday, 5/6

Before we get into a big Sunday of Stanley Cup Playoff action, we have just 1 game on the board yet again. Given that it's only Game 2, it's a bit of an outlier for the Oilers and Golden Knights to have had such a gap between games. Game 1 was back on Wednesday and was one of the best of the Stanley Cup Playoffs thus far. Vegas came away with a 6-4 win after an empty-netter by Jack Eichel. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 0.5 assists (-140)

When it comes to Edmonton, nearly everyone's thoughts go to Connor McDavid, and rightfully so. He's coming off the first 150-point season since 1995-96 and is truly a transcendent talent. Following McDavid is generally Leon Draisaitl. He had 4 goals in Game 1 despite the Oilers losing the game. However, another skater that has come through for us this season is Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.'

He may be the most unknown skater to record over 100 points. That's right, he just had a career year with 104 points, 67 of which were assists. Skating alongside McDavid and Draisaitl certainly helps with that, including another goal-scorer in Evander Kane. On top of all that, he torched the Knights this season. In their 4 matchups, Nugent-Hopkin has 9 points, 8 of which were assists. That was more points against Vegas than both McDavid and Draisaitl. With the Oilers out to even the series before heading to Edmonton, we'll take the more valuable play with Nugent-Hopkins.
