The Devils have played good hockey at a time they really needed to. After a tough November, New Jersey was beginning to fall behind in an extremely competitive Eastern Conference. But they currently find themselves winners of 5 out of their last 6 with the loss being somewhat flukey.
The Flames have moderately bounced back from their bad start to the season. But they still are 11-12-3 and objectively do not have the high-end talent that Devils possess. New Jersey is the better team in better form. They will also play with added urgency as they still have work to do to get and stay in the Eastern Conference playoff picture.
