Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season is right around the corner. And while every opening weekend of the NFL campaign is filled with excitement, this year is even more intriguing. Why? Because there are 10 home underdogs, the most in an opening week in the Super Bowl era. Even crazier, six of those teams are getting more than three points.
That means we have a big menu of options for the purposes of this article. However, I’ll be slimming down that menu to only the teams that have the best chance of winning straight up in Week 1. Here are my favorite Week 1 underdog moneyline plays:

This Week 1 tilt could serve as an opportunity for the Vikings to make a statement under first-year head coach Kevin O’Connell. Mike Zimmer and his old-fashioned ways are out, and the hope is Minnesota will implement a more contemporary offense that utilizes more pre-snap motion under O’Connell.
