NBA Player Props Predictions 1: Jarrett Allen, Cavaliers 11.5 Rebounds (-135) DK
Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen is averaging 10.6 rebounds on 17.6 rebound chances per game on the season.
Allen has only recorded 12+ rebounds in 16 of 43 games on the season for a 37% success rate but has recorded 12+ in 10 of his last 15 games.
Evan Mobley has returned from injury which does lower Allen’s opportunities on the glass, but the Washington Wizards are a dream matchup. The Wiz allow the MOST rebounds overall (49.5 per game) and MOST rebounds to opposing centers (18.53/game).
Allen has abused Wizards center Daniel Gafford on a regular basis with 12+ rebounds in 6 of his last 8 head-to-head games including 12 and 19 this season.
Backup center Marvin Bagley has already been ruled out with a back injury and Gafford has been part of trade rumors which could leave Washington very thin at the center position. Let’s back Allen to get the job done against the best matchup for centers to record rebounds in the NBA.
NBA Player Props Predictions 2: Derrick White, Celtics 18.5 Points + Assists (-120) DK
Boston Celtics point guard Derrick White has averaged 15.7 points and 4.7 assists for an average of 20.4 Points + Assists per game on the season.
White has only eclipsed this mark in 20 of 46 games on the season for a 43% success rate but has cleared gotten the job done in 6 of his last 10 games.
The Atlanta Hawks rank 25th in defensive rating and they just allowed 149 points in game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
White has taken full advantage with 19+ PA in his last five head-to-head meetings against Atlanta including 26 this season.
The Hawks allow the 4th most assists (9.46/game) and 12th most points (24.88/game) to opposing point guards. On top of that, starting Celtics point guard Jrue Holiday is questionable with an elbow injury which could leave the bulk of those stats available for White.
Hawks center Clint Capela has already been ruled out for this contest which leaves them thin on rim protection, leading to extra PA opportunities. The Celtics are favored by 12 points, so we just need to avoid the dreaded blowout for White to clear this total in a great matchup.
