The NBA has now entered the final week of the regular season, and there is still so much to be decided. Apart from a couple of teams in each conference, everyone that is still in the playoff picture has the opportunity to either rise or fall in the standings. The situation in the West is particularly nail biting, with the teams from 5th to 12th separated by just 4.5 games. Tonight’s monster 13-game slate could make the fate of several teams much clearer.
Check out the player props I have picked out for today’s games below. And do not forget to read our NBA predictions for all of Tuesday’s games too.
Rudy Gobert was dominant for the Minnesota Timberwolves the last time he faced the Brooklyn Nets. He managed 26 points and 13 rebounds. Matching up against Nic Claxton once more tonight, it is hard to expect a different outcome. The Frenchman will have a significant size advantage over his counterpart and is a more physical presence than him. That should make him a threat to grab and convert offensive rebounds into second chance points. The Nets are 24th in opponent rebounds per game over the last 10. Claxtons inability to space the floor will help Gobert have great rebounding position throughout the night. With the Nets center also 2nd in the league in blocks per game, look for Gobert to be a major lob threat as his guards are met by Claxton on their drives to the rim. Back the Timberwolves center to have a huge night.
Charlotte Hornets guard Svi Mykhailiuk caught fire in his last outing against his former employers the Toronto Raptors. He could be set to continue his hot scoring against the same opponent tonight. He knocked down 5 of his 9 attempts from deep against them. Considering that he is a 47.8% shooter from beyond the arc this season, similar volume of shots would position him well to make at least 3 once more. He has now played at least 30 minutes in 6 straight games. If he pushes a similar amount of playing time tonight, look for him to have enough time on the floor to get his triples going here.
