The Belmont Bruins will head up to Carbondale and face the Southern Illinois Salukis in MVC action from the Banterra Center on ESPN.
Belmont comes in at 9-5 after beating Bradley in Nashville. The Bruins reeled in their third straight win in comeback fashion, rallying on the Braves late to walk away with the three-point victory. Belmont is scoring 76.1 ppg, while shooting 46.6% from the field, and 41.4% from deep.
Ben Sheppard is back and letting things fly again for the Bruins. Sheppard put a season-high 33 points on in-state foe Middle Tennessee, and he’s on-pace to lead Belmont in scoring (18.2), while grabbing 4.6 rpg and dishing out 3.6 apg. Newcomers Cade Tyson (13.8 ppg) and Drew Friberg (13.6 ppg) have brought life and length to the frontcourt.
