Bellarmine at North Alabama – 1/2/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Bellarmine Knights will travel down to Florence and face the North Alabama Lions in Atlantic Sun from Flowers’ Hall on ESPN. Bellarmine has won all four meetings between these two southern schools.

Bellarmine fell to 5-9 after losing to Liberty at home. The Knights  found themselves trailing at home early, and that would be the theme of the evening before falling to the Flames by 17. Bellarmine scores 66.9 points per game, while allowing 64.3 ppg, and shoots 45.9% from the field. Senior guard Garrett Tipton dropped 25 points in the win over Michigan State, and he leads the Knights in scoring at 11.4 ppg after scoring 15 points or more in each of the last four games. 

North Alabama improved to 9-5 after defeating in-state foe Jacksonville State. The Lions followed up their power-5 win over Ole Miss with a gritty road effort against the Gamecocks, and came away with the four-point win. North Alabama scores 75.9 points per game, while allowing 70.5 ppg and shooting 46.7% from the floor. Daniel Ortiz showed up and dropped 22 points in the road win over the Rebels, and he now leads UNA in scoring at 13.2 ppg.
