The Baylor Bears (9-1, 6-2-1 ATS, 6-3 O/U) meet with the Duke Blue Devils (7-3, 5-5 ATS, 5-5 O/U) in an inter-conference showdown on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden. The Bears were dealt a surprising blowout loss by Michigan State on Saturday. The Blue Devils earned a home win against Hofstra in their previous bout.

The Baylor Bears are looking to rebound from their first defeat of the season. Baylor was 9-0 including wins against Auburn, Florida, and a 78-60 home win against Seton Hall two games ago. The Bears were horrible last time out, dropping an 88-64 road decision to Michigan State in a bout that had the Bears favored by 2.5 points. The Bears have covered the spread in four of their last five games.

Ja’Kobe Walter is slumping, posting a field goal efficiency of 43% or below in five straight games. The freshman guard has surpassed 20 points on three occasions and is averaging 14.3 PPG on the season. RayJ Dennis scored 11 points on Saturday. The senior guard is having an outstanding season, posting an average of 13.9 PPG on 54% shooting. Jalen Bridges has netted double-digits in just one of his last four bouts. The senior forward has issued an average of 10.5 PPG on a 48% mark from the field.

The Bears are ranked 15th in DI in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and are 3-1 on neutral courts, covering in two of them. They dipped four spots to #10 in the latest edition of the AP Top 25. Baylor has registered at least 80 points in all but three clashes and is averaging 88.4 points on the season, good for 8th. They are conceding an average of 69.6 points, placing them 149th.
