The Baylor Bears will go back on the road this week to Lubbock,TX for a conference matchup against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Baylor comes into this week one game above .500 following a 12 point win against Kansas that ended a two game skid. Defensively Baylor controlled the game holding Kansas to only 288 yards and forced two turnovers leading to the victory. The Baylor offense was lights out as well accumulating nearly 440 yards after 273 came on the ground to score 35 points in the game.
Blake Shapen led the way for the Baylor offense completing 17 of 26 passes for 164 yards and one score in the game. Richard Reese led all ball carriers with 186 yards and two touchdowns on 31 carries, while Jordan Nabors added 13 yards and one score on two carries as well. Hal Presley led all Baylor receivers with 39 yards on three receptions.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders continue a homestand this week one game above .500 on the year following a 38 point blowout win against West Virginia. Defensively Texas Tech dominated the game holding West Virginia to less than 300 yards and forced four turnovers in the game as the Mountaineers scored only 10 total points. Offensively Texas Tech dominated with nearly 600 yards of offense in route to 48 points after a 31 point second half.
