Barkley: Georgia Could Soon Be Favored to Win the National Championship

College football season is underway and You Better You Bet looked ahead to how the odds to win the national championship will play out for the top teams. Ken Barkley discussed the odds for Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia, and why Georgia, who destroyed Oregon, 49-3, in Week 1, could be favored over Alabama to repeat before too long.

“Georgia's price will be the only thing that is interesting in the market because if they win every game … like what they just did to Oregon, statistically, eye test, then they should actually be the favorite before they play Alabama in Atlanta at the end of the year,” Barkley said. “… The only thing price-wise that can change is they (Georgia) can get way shorter. … You actually could see them become the favorite in the next three to five weeks.”
