Baltimore Ravens vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 8-26-2023

The Baltimore Ravens face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the final preseason game for both teams before the 2023 season. The Ravens had their 24-game preseason win streak snapped with their recent 29-28 loss but more importantly, are hoping to build off a wild card appearance last year. The Buccaneers split their first two preseason games and hope to head into the season with a win as they kickstart a new era, one where Tom Brady won't be their quarterback. Both teams are looking to start the 2023 season strong and the upcoming preseason game should be a good one as a result.

The Ravens made the playoffs last year but their offense struggled after Lamar Jackson went down to injury, averaging only 20.6 points per game with only 13 points per game in the final five games of the year. Jackson is back and poised for a big year after signing a long-term deal but for the final preseason game, all eyes will be on Tyler Huntley and veteran backup Josh Johnson. The big question for the offense is who will step up in the passing game aside from tight end Mark Andrews, making the upcoming game a big one for rookie Zay Flowers and veterans Devin Duvernay and Tylan Wallace.

The offense hopes to rebound but the defense looks to build off a remarkable year as they only allowed 18.5 points per game last season. The big question for the defense is who will generate interior pressure, making the final preseason game pivotal for Brent Urban and Travis Jones. The other question is who will step up at the cornerback position to help out Marlon Humphrey, especially in man coverage. It puts a lot of pressure on corners Arthur Maulet, Rock Ya-Sin, and Damarion Williams to establish themselves as reliable starters.
