Birds are clashing in the desert, with the Baltimore Ravens (5-2; 5-2-0 ATS) flying high heading into Week 8. Awaiting them are the Arizona Cardinals (1-6; 3-3-1 ATS), who should be happy to finally be back home. These franchises haven't shared a field during the regular season since 2019. These teams will reconvene in State Farm Stadium on Sunday, with kickoff scheduled for 4:25 p.m. EDT. Who will come out on top in a rare matchup?

Last weekend's matchup with the Lions was supposed to be a tough battle between contenders. Instead, the Ravens jumped ahead 35-0 at home before ultimately winning 38-6. At 5-2, with two one-possession losses (that easily could've been wins), Baltimore is looking like one of the NFL's top teams. It starts on defense, as no team has allowed fewer points per game than the Ravens. Their defense also leads the NFL in yards per play (4.1), yards per pass attempt (5.4) and sacks (29). Baltimore allows 4.2 yards per carry, which isn't great, but combined with the NFL's top pass defense it's good enough. Shutting down a dangerous Detroit offense was a major statement. Let's see if they can keep it up this week.

The offense was nearly flawless too, cruising to a 28-0 lead at halftime. Lamar Jackson threw for 357 yards, ran for 36 more, and finished with four total touchdowns. Tight end Mark Andrews caught two touchdowns. Justice Hill and Gus Edwards combined for 110 yards on 18 carries. Once again, Baltimore is elite on the ground, with the second-most rushing yards for the season. They also pick up the third-most passing yards per attempt. Turnovers have been their biggest hurdle (10 already and at least one in six of their seven games), but otherwise, this team doesn't struggle to move the ball downfield.
