The Baltimore Orioles and Cincinnati Reds will wrap up their weekend series on Sunday afternoon in Cincinnati. Both organizations are a far cry from the two teams that battled for the 1970 World Series crown. Baltimore is in 4th place in the AL East and have shown signs of life this season after five-straight last place seasons including just 52 wins in 2021. The Reds got off to their worst start in team history this season but have shown life since May as they rebuild their roster from the ground up. On the mound on Sunday will be right-hander Austin Voth (1-1, 6.15) of the Orioles taking on rookie left-hander Nick Lodolo (3-3, 4.73) of the Reds. Game time is set for 140pm EST.

The Orioles have been playing solid baseball for the better part of the season and are attempting to finish the season above .500 for the first time since 2016. A recent ten-game win streak pushed the Orioles back into the playoff picture and may have changed the Orioles outlook about the trade deadline. Several key veterans were almost assuredly going to be traded for prospects by the August 3rd deadline but management may be waiting on the team's performance in the coming days before fully committing to selling off assets. On Sunday, the Birds will send Austin Voth to the mound to gain another road victory in Cincinnati. Voth will be making his 7th start in 11 appearances this season on Sunday. He has earned one victory as a starter this month, over the Angels, giving the Birds five innings of four-hit ball. Voth has, however, been primarily used as an opener and expected to last between three and four innings.
