The Baltimore Orioles and Cincinnati Reds face off on Saturday in an MLB showdown at the Great American Ball Park.
The Orioles sit with a 50-49 record overall and if they can find success this weekend, they will be right back in the playoff hunt. On Thursday the Orioles had some really strong pitching giving up zero runs to the Tampa Bay Rays and that led to the 3-0 victory. The Orioles have leaned on their pitching this season because the offense hasn’t been that great. The Orioles are averaging only 4.19 runs per game.
On the other side of this matchup is the Reds who sit with a 38-60 record overall and in the last game against the Miami Marlins they didn’t look great. The pitching gave up seven runs and that led to the defeat. The Reds pitching overall has been an issue giving up 5.36 runs per game which is 29th in the league. Brandon Drury has been the top player for the Reds hitting 19 home runs and driving in 57 RBIs.
