We have a Mid-American Conference USA NCAA Men’s Basketball game on Saturday afternoon between the Ball State Cardinals and the Western Michigan Broncos taking place at University Arena. The Cardinals are 19-7 (10-3) so far and are riding a six-game winning streak as they are coming off an 87-77 home win against the Northern Illinois Huskies on Tuesday. The Broncos are a terrible 6-20 (2-11) currently and are on a nine-game losing streak after coming off an 82-58 home loss on Tuesday against the Kent State Golden Flashes. These teams also played on Jan. 17 as the Cardinals picked up a 71-70 home win.

The Ball State Cardinals have been doing a very solid job offensively this season as they are averaging 76.7 points while shooting an outstanding 47.7 percent from the field. They have been passing the ball at a solid level this season with 13.2 assists per game so far. Junior guard Jarron Coleman has led the way for the Cardinals as he is averaging 14.9 points, five rebounds, 3.7 assists, 0.4 blocks, 1.5 steals, and 2.6 turnovers in 34.2 minutes per game.

Their defense has been doing decently well on this side of the floor as they are allowing 69.4 points per game up to this point. However, they can improve a little bit at forcing mistakes as they are averaging 4.1 blocks and 5.9 steals per game right now. If they can focus a little bit more on the defensive side of the court, Ball State will be one of the toughest teams to face off against.
