The Ball State Cardinals and the Eastern Michigan Eagles will face off on Saturday afternoon inside of the Convocation Center in a Mid-American Conference matchup. The Cardinals are 20-8 (11-4) so far and are coming off an 82-70 home win over the Kent State Golden Flashes on Tuesday. The Eagles are struggling as they are 7-21 (4-11) right now and are coming off a 66-59 home win over the Western Michigan Broncos on Tuesday night. These teams faced off back on Feb. 3 with the Cardinals taking a 91-90 overtime home win. 

 

The Ball State Cardinals have been doing extremely well this season and were able to grab an 82-70 home win over the Kent State Golden Flashes. They dominated in the second half offensively as they were able to score 50 points throughout the 20 minutes. They shot the ball pretty well as they were 24-of-49 (49 percent) overall, 7-of-20 (35 percent) from three, and 34 free-throw attempts. Sophomore guard Jaylin Sellers led the program in this game as in 20 minutes he finished with 20 points and a pair of rebounds. Defensively, they have to do better defending the perimeter as they allowed 40.7 percent from the floor and 46.7 percent from deep here. Ball State struggled to force mistakes as they did not record any steals, but had two blocks.

The Ball State Cardinals have done an excellent job offensively throughout the season as they are 65th in the nation with 76.5 points per game thus far and shooting a great 47.3 percent from the floor and are averaging 13.2 assists per game. Defensively, they are closer to the middle of the road as they are giving up 69.8 points per game, which is 177th in the country. They have done a subpar job of forcing fastbreak opportunities as they recorded 3.9 blocks and 5.7 steals per game.
