Sunday Betting Recaps

Sunday had plenty of sports betting action with baseball, spring football, WNBA, College World Series, auto racing, etc., but the big focus was on the U.S. Open as it usually is on Father’s Day.

Let’s get to our daily recaps, led by the U.S. Open but also including our regular MLB and USFL roundups and then updating the season-long betting stats.

PGA: Wyndham Clark won the U.S. Open at around 100-1 (we saw as high as 125-1 at Circa Sports pre-tournament). Clark was 16-1 after Thursday's 1st round, 7-1 after Friday's 2nd round and between 3-1 and 7-2 heading into Sunday's final round (note: Rory McIlroy was favored around 2-1 at most books).

MLB: Favorites went 10-5 on Sunday with Guardians-Diamondbacks closing pick-'em). The biggest upsets were by the Tigers (+165 in 6-4 win at Twins), Reds (+133 in 9-7 win at Astros for their 7th straight win) and Cardinals (+115 in 8-7 win at Mets). Road teams went 9-7. Overs led 8-7-1 with the push in BAL-CHC (9). On the season, faves lead 619-440 with 17 PKs. Home teams lead 565-509 with 2 neutral-site games. Unders’ slim lead dipped to 521-512-42 with 1 no-action.
