Atlanta Hawks vs. Utah Jazz Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-3-2023

Atlanta Hawks (26-26) vs. Utah Jazz (27-26)

The NBA betting action continues with an eight-game Friday card, so we are breaking down the cross-conference showdown from Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah, to get you the best Hawks vs. Jazz betting pick and odds.

The Jazz open as slight 2-point home favorites with a total of 240.5 points. Utah misses Simone Fontecchio (foot) and Micah Potter (elbow), whereas Atlanta is coming in at full strength.

The Atlanta Hawks (26-26; 23-28-1 ATS) are coming off Wednesday’s 132-100 dismantling of the Phoenix Suns on the road. After a couple of losses against the LA Clippers 120-113 in Atlanta and the Portland Trail Blazers 129-125 away from home, the Hawks dominated the Suns all night long, making 57.1% of their field goals and posting a terrific 32/12 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Dejounte Murray dropped 40 points on Portland last Monday and had 21 against Phoenix. Trae Young, who missed the Trail Blazers game, notched 20 points and 12 assists versus the Suns, while Bogdan Bogdanovic and Onyeka Okongwu combined for 35 points off the bench this past Wednesday.

“When you're getting downhill, moving the ball, sharing the ball, things like that can happen,” Hawks coach Nate McMillan said after a huge win at Phoenix. “I thought tonight we did a good job moving the ball and getting it to the open man.”

The Hawks have only won two of their previous six games overall. They hold the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, trailing the No. 6 Miami Heat by three games. Atlanta ranks 12th in the league in adjusted offensive efficiency (114.7 points per 100 possessions) and 18th in adjusted defensive efficiency (also 114.7).
