The Atlanta Hawks have had mixed results at the start of their first full season with Quin Snyder as head coach. Snyder took over late last season and helped guide the Hawks into the playoffs before falling to Boston in the first round. This year, the Hawks have been one of the best-scoring teams in the league but have given up their share of points as well. In fact, the Hawks' game total in the last two games heading into Saturday night's game against the Wizards was 292 and 312 points, as they split the pair of games. Against the Wizards, the Hawks kept the high scoring going in a 136-108 win. Trae Young led the way with 26 points and 10 assists.

“It just shows that we're getting more comfortable with what we're doing,” Young said. “It's good to lead from wire to wire like that and come out with a big victory.”

Atlanta arrives in Boston as the second-ranked scoring offense in the league. They are seventh in field goal percentage and 11th in 3-point field goal percentage. Despite the presence of one of the game's best long-range shooters in Trae Young, the Hawks are just 18th in percentage of points from 3-point shots. Defensively, the Hawks are 27th in points allowed this season. They are 25th in field goal defense and 25th in 3-point defense. Atlanta is also 17th in rebounding on the season and a disappointing 23rd in the league in turnovers per game.

Key Injuries: F Mouhamed Gueye and G Kobe Bufkin are out.
