The Atlanta Hawks pay a visit to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Monday night.
The Atlanta Hawks are coming into this game with plenty of momentum as they’ve won six of their last nine games and they will be looking to stay hot after sneaking past the Raptors in a 124-122 overtime win on Saturday. Trae Young led the way with 33 points and 12 assists, DeAndre Hunter added 22 points, Clint Capela scored 18 points while Dejounte Murray and AJ Griffin each scored 17 points. As a team, the Hawks shot 50 percent from the field and seven of 25 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and trailed for most of the game, until the fourth quarter where they rallied to force overtime and escape with the narrow win.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the surprise teams of the league so far as they’ve won 10 of their first 16 games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after making light work of the Heat in a 113-87 win last night. Darius Garland led the team with 25 points and seven assists, Cedi Osman added 20 points with 12 rebounds and three assists off the bench while Evan Mobley tallied 15 points with 10 rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 53 percent from the field and 13 of 37 from the 3-point line as they took control with a 31-15 second quarter to take a double-digit lead, before exploding for 36 points in the third quarter to push the margin out to 32 points.
