Atlanta swooped into first place in the NFC South with last week's victory over division rival Tampa Bay, snapping an eight-game road losing streak. The Falcons were victorious in spite of themselves, as quarterback Desmond Ridder fumbled three times and the defense shot itself in the foot with numerous penalties. The second-year starting QB was otherwise efficient, completing 19-of-25 passes for 250 yards, and the Falcons' ground game contributed 156 yards.

The Falcons average 16.4 points (29th) and 341.0 total yards (13th) per game, including 216.7 passing yards (17th) and 124.3 rushing yards (8th). They convert 39.7 percent of their third-down attempts (15th) and find the end zone in 47.8 percent of their red zone trips (22nd).

Atlanta surrenders 19.0 points (9th) and 285.4 total yards (3rd), including 190.1 passing yards (7th) and 95.3 rushing yard s (8th). It has accumulated 13 sacks and four interceptions this season. The Falcons' opponents have converted 33.7 percent of their third-down attempts (3rd) and scored touchdowns on 38.8 percent of their red zone trips (5th).
