The Atlanta Falcons (4-5, 2nd NFC South) head west on Sunday for a NFC matchup in Glendale, Arizona against the Arizona Cardinals (1-8, 4th NFC West). The Falcons were defeated by the Minnesota Vikings 31-28 last time out and will continue with Taylor Heinicke under center in place of rookie Desmond Ridder. Arizona lost its sixth straight when losing to the Cleveland Browns 27-0 last Sunday. Arizona announced that Kyrie Murray would start at quarterback this week against Atlanta. Atlanta has a laundry list of injuries including Josh Ali, Troy Anderson, Ethan Greenidge, Matt Hennessy and several others, both out and questionable. Arizona’s injury list is also extensive and anyone considering betting on this game should check the injury report prior to mak ing any wager.

The Atlanta Falcons announced that Taylor Heinicke would start at quarterback this week against Arizona as the Falcons attempt to find answers to their lack of scoring, which sits at 18.4 points per game and 25th in the NFL. The Falcons are 11th in total offense averaging 344.3 yards per game with 124.4 yards per game rushing and 219.9 yards per game passing. Atlanta’s strength is on the ground but they must improve through the air. Heinicke has 443 yards passing with a pair of touchdowns and one interception. Rookie Bijan Robinson has a team best 517 yards rushing with one touchdown and the leading receiver is Drake London, who is questionable for Sunday, with 438 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

 

Atlanta is allowing an average of 21.3 points and 304 yards per game which are 18th and 6th in the NFL. Atlanta allows an average of 106.9 yards rushing and 197.1 yards passing which are 14th and 10th respectively. Linebacker Kaden Elliss has the team lead in tackles with 62 and the leader in quarterback sacks with 3.5 is Arnold Ebiketie. Jesse Bates III has a team best three interceptions. Atlanta has made 19 quarterback sacks and has intercepted four passes.
