The Washington Nationals wrap up a three game series Wednesday night as they host the Atlanta Braves. The Braces are tied for first in the NL East with the Mets while the Nationals have the worst record in baseball. The Braves lead the season series 14-4. Game time is 7:05 p.m. ET at Nationals Park in Washington, DC.
The Braves are not yet resting on their laurels. They are hot on the heels of the first place Mets, tied after Tuesday night's 8-2 win over the Nats. They know they have to win games against the lowly Nationals if they want to catch the Mets down the stretch. First place matters this season, as with the new playoff structure, the top two teams, which most be division winners, get first round byes.
I was honored to host the 2021 World Series Champion Atlanta Braves at the White House today.
One of history's greatest turnarounds, their first title in 26 years didn't come easy. But I know in Georgia, you show up when it counts.
