Two of the best and hottest teams in the National League will meet for Sunday Night baseball when the St. Louis Cardinals host the Atlanta Braves. The Braves took the opening game 11-4 on Friday, and Saturday's game was not complete at the time of this preview.
The Atlanta Braves are pushing for first the NL East in what they hope will eventually lead to another World Championship this season. On Friday, Atlanta won its fourth straight game and, for the seventh time out of their last eight games. Heading into Saturday's action, the Braves trailed the Mets by two games in the division but by far have the best record amongst second-place teams in MLB.

Atlanta does so many things well. The offense is in the top-10 in runs scored, batting average, and OPS, and also in the top half in stolen bases. The pitching is also top 10 in ERA, WHIP, and quality starts.
Atlanta will turn to Jake Odorizzi (5-5, 3.95 ERA) on Sunday. Odorizzi is a solid veteran that is capable of throwing a gem or getting rocked. Odorizzi has a 3.95 ERA in 16 starts this season and has an identical 3.95 ERA in 235 career appearances
